MAIN Verlag is an established LGBTI & Hetero Romance Publisher in Germany. With RAWmance Publishing, we’ll branch out to the English market and translations!

RAWmance currently accepts works from 20k-200k for publishing and translating. LGBTIQ Romance and Erotic is accepted (new and previously published books.)

What we expect (for publishing & translating): Strong plotlines, compelling writing, stories that draw us in. We also expect you to do some promotion work (means: your work isn’t done with submitting. We want you to succeed, and that means: promo)

What you can expect: Quality editing/translation and a beautiful cover, promotion, the option of translating your works to German and Italian.
Usually, books will be published in ebook and print.

We’re a royalty paying publisher house. Please contact us for rates.

Submissions for publishing:
Please send your full manuscript to:
Chris McHart (ch@main-verlag.de)
Usual turn around time is 8 weeks, but it depends on the amount of submissions. (You’ll receive an email within 3 days that your submission has been received)

Please follow the guidelines for submitting:
Font: Times New Roman or Garamond, 12 pt
First line intended
Page breaks (do NOT hit enter until you have a new page. Word has a great feature called page breaks. Use it)
Spellchecked (Yes, I notice that!)

In the body of your email, include the following:
Your legal name, your pen name, contact email address, a two paragraph story description and your writing credentials (if you’re new, say so, please.)

Attached to the email, send the following:
Your full manuscript
and a one-two pages synopsis/story summary (including the end!)
(pro tip: ending your synopsis with a question (will they save the world?) is a pretty simple way to receive a “no, thanks”, because if you can’t follow the simple instruction of writing a synopsis, you probably can’t work with an editor as well. Sorry to be that harsh, but that’s my experience.)
Your manuscript does NOT have to be professionally edited! We’ll do that for you. But you can’t send in a first draft, either. No one wants to clean that up, so… do your job. Make it shine BEFORE you send it in!

Submissions for translation:

Please send a short synopsis and a link to your book on Amazon to Chris McHart (ch@main-verlag.de) (yeah, I’m easy 😉 )
